Sun, sea, sand, great fun, new friends ... oh, and a wedding!

When I went to visit Susanna in Sydney in December 2005, I ended up meeting some amazing people. It was one of those holidays where the people mattered more as I’d been in Sydney before. Arriving in Sydney, I met Tas, Becs, Jarad, Cambell and finally Kati and Manu. We all headed to the wonderful Port Stephens, had such a good time (even if I did sunburn my feet) and topped it all off with a fantastic New Year’s Eve evening under the Harbour Bridge ending with the magnificent fireworks.

Eighteen months later, we all met up again in a little town called Sirolo on the Adriatic coast for Manu and Kati’s wedding. This was no ordinary wedding for many reasons - Manu and Kati had travelled from Sydney along with Tas and Ali, Manu’s family/friends from France and Italy, Kati’s family and friends from Austria and many more from all over Europe. It was so relaxed as we met many more new friends spread over those four days. And what a great time was had by all.

It’s difficult to explain how wonderful the scenery was from the hilltop churches to the rustic Italian towns to wonderful food to a spectacular coastline ... all culminating at the Chiesa S. Biagio for an Italian, French, German and English language wedding. The photographs in the album as just a tiny selection from the four wonderful days which hopefully will capture the relaxed, fun-filled, sunny mood of Sirolo in the summer of 2007 ... the wedding date was also 20-07-2007 ... :-)
