On Saturday, 3 February 2006, seven of us (Carol, Cat, Lex, Tim, Andrew, Hester and I) had lunch in the Oak in Ardingly before heading off on an 8-mile walk. On leaving Ardingly, we headed north towards Wakehurst Palace before turning and heading towards Balcome with the reservoir to the south. In between Balcombe and Balcombe Lake, we headed along Mill Lane, passing the Mill Cottage before continuing along the northern edge of the reservoir. Crossing the reservoir, we turned south heading towards Ardingly College before coming back into Ardingly via College Road.
