A walk in the South Downs
Sunday, 14 January was one of those lovely winter days - reasonably mild and blue-skied. Carol and I decided to go for a long walk/hike around Ditchling Beacon (third highest peak in the South Downs) in East Sussex. We started in the picturesque village of Ditchling, then headed towards the steep north face of the beacon, along the top towards the windmills and then back to Ditchling via Keymer. The teashop back in the village was a really welcome sit-down and the coffee/coconut cake was just perfect.
And no aches and pains either!! :-)
