Port Stephens
After arriving in Sydney Airport, I was greeted by the tanned and smiling Susanna - what a nice way to start a holiday. I think I felt like I was on holidays when I left Heathrow but at 7.30am on the 28 December, I was definitely on holidays having arrived in Australia again.

We picked up the car and we headed to Tas's place in Darlinghurst to meet Campbell and Tas (and have a fantastic post-flight shower). After a short while, we were on the road heading to Port Stephens which is about 250km north of Sydney. We arrived in Shoal Bay around lunchtime were we checked in and I met Beck and Jared for the first time along with Chanelle, Manu and Kati.

And some of the most fantastic Australian scenery I've seen - pristine beaches, turquoise waters, blue skies ... we had some great fun for the three days there - swimming, surfing, walking and discovering rock pools, treking to Tomaree Point, swimming in Fingal Bay, visiting the old lighthouse, attempting to cure my sunburnt feet (putting on his doctor's hat ... the trendy one ... he says!), being part of my first Aussie BBQ and shooting star gazing with Beck and Jared on the beach at 1am ...

Come along and enjoy some of the Port Stephens photos ...
